Facilities & Activities

Campers attending SLCC are housed in 14 cabins (7 cabins for boys and 7 cabins for girls). Each cabin is capable of accommodating 10 campers, plus counselors. All 14 cabins are situated around a common Dining Hall. Boys Cabins 1 and 2 as well as Girls Cabins 1 and 2, which are utilized by the younger campers, have their own bath facilities. Bathhouses for the other campers are located in close proximity to the cabins. Additional buildings include a multi-purpose pavilion (which is capable of seating over 300), covered basketball court, the Camp Store (canteen), an Arts and Crafts Shed, the Nurse's Station and the Director's Cabin. SLCC offers swimming, basketball, kickball, softball, volleyball, horseshoes and a playground area to campers.

Session Staff

Christian young (as well as older) men and women make up the session staff. All members are dedicated to the church of Christ as revealed in the New Testament.

Number of Campers

Please note that we can only accept 165 (90 girls, 75 boys) per week. Campers will be placed on a waiting list once that number has been reached and may be unable to attend if camp is at full capacity.

Cost & Payment Plan - Full Week Sessions

Pre-registration (non-refundable) fee will be $30.00 per week for each child in the family. Total for a full week of camp is $150.00 per week. This fee will include EVERYTHING that the camper will needs at camp such as: food, crafts, store (canteen) break, camp t-shirt etc.The regular Sessions of camp are open to ages 8-18.

Campers may wish to bring extra change to buy a drink from the vending machine.

Online Registration for each full session will close at 12PM on the Thursday prior to the start of each session. A $20 late fee will be charged for "walk up registration" on Sunday afternoon.

Paying:

When checking out with Online Registration you will find 3 options to pay...

Pay in Full - at checkout you pay the FULL amount of your account

Payment Plan Automatically - at checkout you pay the $30 deposit and the debit/credit card used will be billed a pro-rated automatically on the 1st of the month the session starts.

Payment Plan Manually - at checkout you ONLY pay the $30 deposit and then you can log in until the start of the session to make payments on your account.

Cost & Payment Plan - 1/2 Week Session

The 1/2 week is an opportunity to introduce young campers (Ages 5-8) to Sardis Lake Christian Camp during a shortened week (Thursday at 3:00 p.m. till Saturday at 10:00 a.m.). Campers will spend days filled with games, sports and Bible study just like in regular camp sessions.

What to and not Bring

Each camper should bring a Bible, twin sheets (or sleeping bag), a pillow, towels, blanket, toilet articles, swimsuit, flashlight, clothes (see Dress Code) and any other special equipment such as: ball gloves, camera, etc.

ALL electronic devices, cell phones, iPods/MP3 players, video games, tablets, etc. are prohibited at Session Directors discretion.

Weapons, tobacco, or alcoholic products of any kind are prohibited on the campground.

Dress Code

Only knee length Shorts are allowed at Sardis Lake Christian Camp. Excessively tight, revealing, and/or low cut clothing are NOT allowed. Modest apparel is expected of all campers. Parents please do not send clothing items that are not within these guidelines.

Campers will and do get dirty. Please keep this in mind when packing for camp. Be sure to mark all personal items possible especially in younger cabins.

Camper Check-in & Walk-up Registration

No camper may be dropped off prior to the start of check-in. All parents and/or guardians dropping off children must wait until after their child(ren) completes the check-in process before leaving camp.  Check-in takes place in the middle of the camp ground inside the Mess Hall. A welfare check, not limited to a head lice check, is performed on each camper at check-in. Cabin Assignments and T-shirts are given during this time. Sessions CLOSE at 10:00 a.m. the Saturday of the session.

1/2 Week Session - Camper Check-in starts at 3PM on the 1st day (Thursday) of that session.

Full Week Session - Camper Check-in starts at 3PM on the 1st day (Sunday) of that session.

Walk-up Registration is allowed if space permits after majority of the registered campers have checked in and if there is not a waiting list.. There is an additional $20 fee for this registration and it is on the first come, first serve basis.

Visiting Camp

We enjoy having visitors on the campgrounds and ask ALL visitors to check in with the Session Director(s) upon arrival. Visitors to the camp are expected to follow camp rules including dress code and follow the schedule.

There will be a $10 daily fee per visitor to eat in the Mess Hall and participate in store breaks.

No visitors will be permitted on the camp ground after 10:00 PM without direct permission from the Camp Director.

Waiting List for a Full Session

When a session reaches it maximum number campers it will fill up. A waiting list will begin for those wishing to attend that session. The waiting list is a first come, first serve basis. Being on the waiting list does not guarantee a spot for that session.
